On Saturday, September 15 at 9:00 AM we will search for hatching Midland Painted Turtle eggs in Nashotah Park. Join us for a nature hike to see the turtles and many other wonders of nature. We are lucky to have naturalist Bernice Polpelka leading the hike.

Meet us at Nashotah Park at 9:00 AM on September 15, 2007 to pick up a copy and go on a hike.

You are invited to send any questions or comments to this blog by sending an email to: apluscommunityofyouth@gmail.com. Your comments will be posted (without identifying you) so that others can read them and add comments of their own. If you are looking for answers to some of the questions in the Guide, send your questions and someone will answer them.

If you or your friends want to know where they can get their own copy of Kids' Guide to the Outdoors, they can:

Visit a state, county or (selected) city parks office
Visit a nature center (Riveredge, Urban Ecology Center, Retzer Nature Center, Wehr Nature Center, Schlitz Audubon Nature Center)
Visit the Sierra Club office at 8112 W. Bluemound Road, Wauwatosa, WI 53213
Send their name, address, and $5 to cover shipping and handling to the Sierra Club office (address above)
